Non-Lingerie Options For Your Boudoir Session
The most asked question I get is “what should I wear?” This is where most of our clients find themselves stuck for many reasons. The first one being that they have gone to an intimate store like Victoria’s Secret to get measured and they weren’t sized correctly making them feel a certain way about the overall experience. We send out detailed emails on what to shop for exactly based on your body type as well as what to look for when it comes to shopping for your outfits. However, one thing that clients forget to do, and that is one thing, that we HIGHLY RECOMMEND, is shopping their own closet!
Stay with me on this one, I know what you’re thinking “Karina I don’t own any lingerie.” The reality is that you do not need to own lingerie for a boudoir session. Many of our clients don’t like lingerie and that is perfectly okay. That’s why we highly encourage you to shop your own closet. I will give you a list of examples that work really well that are NON-LINGERIE outfits that will still make you feel amazing AND you will get amazing images in return!
BUTTON DOWN SHIRT. We love button down shirts so much because it gives a classy sexy look, but it also allows you to feel amazing in your own skin!
JERSEYS. Many of our clients are fanatics of sports whether that is football, baseball, or their own partners are fans! We encourage you to bring your favorite jersey to your session! We get so many variety of images AND most importantly you still feel sexy and empowered wearing a Jersey.
LONG SLEEVE CARDIGANS. Another amazing non-lingerie option. This gives you the confidence that you are seeking all while doing it without lingerie.
TANK TOP/T-SHIRT. Seriously DO NOT underestimate a plain tank top/t-shirt. These are amazing to hug every curve make you feel sexy and just overall your images will turn out chef’s kiss.
These are just a few options that we encourage clients to shop their closet for.
Another thing that I want to add is, as women, we love shopping and we tend to shop for things that sometimes we forget we even shopped for and it gets thrown in the back of our closet. You will be surprised how many times I’ve encouraged clients to shop their closet and come back and tell me they had forgotten they had certain lingerie outfits or intimate apparel in their closet.
